During the rolling construction, no matter which method is adopted for rolling, roll change, shaft change and shunting shall be carried out at the cold end of the rolling area. In the case of vibratory rollers, disconnect the vibratory mechanism. Next, we will introduce the following conventional rolling methods of the roller:
(1) Common rolling method: the road roller shall drive in the direction parallel to the road center line, gradually move from the road edge to the middle of the road, and each rolling shall overlap the previous rolling strip by about 10-20cm.
(2) Alternative rolling method: it is basically the same as the ordinary rolling method. The roller also moves from the roadside to the center line. The difference is that the overlapping width of the rolling belt is 50% of the roller width of the roller. This method can reduce the compaction defects such as pushing or corrugation of the mixture.
In a word, in order to ensure the normal rolling temperature range during rolling, approach the paver once for each rolling, so as to prevent the indentation caused by reversing in the same section of the whole paving width. When rolling on the crown or cross slope, the roller must start from the lowest edge to the highest edge, and the purpose is to ensure that the roller takes the compacted material as the supporting edge.
