Equipment debugging
1. Adjust the steel wheel
Check the wear condition: Check the wear degree of the steel wheel regularly. For steel wheels with uneven wear, repair or replacement can be used. If the wear is light, the surface of the steel wheel can be trimmed by mechanical processing to restore it to flatness; if the wear is serious and affects the compaction effect, a new steel wheel should be replaced in time.
Adjust the pressure of the steel wheel: According to the type of pavement material and compaction requirements, the pressure of the steel wheel should be reasonably adjusted. Generally speaking, for harder pavement materials, the pressure of the steel wheel should be appropriately increased; for softer pavement materials, the pressure of the steel wheel should be reduced. When adjusting the pressure, pay attention to keeping the pressure of the steel wheels on both sides consistent to ensure uniform compaction.
2. Check the vibration system
Check the vibration frequency and amplitude: Use professional testing equipment to detect the vibration frequency and amplitude of the vibration system. Ensure that the vibration frequency and amplitude are within the range specified by the equipment and that the vibration parameters on both sides are consistent. If the vibration frequency or amplitude is abnormal, the cause should be found and adjusted in time.
Check the vibration motor: Check the working status of the vibration motor, including the motor speed, torque and other parameters. If the motor fails, it should be repaired or replaced in time. At the same time, pay attention to keep the motor clean to prevent dust, debris, etc. from entering the motor and affecting the normal operation of the motor.
3. Check the frame and tires
Check the deformation of the frame: Check the frame regularly to see if there are any deformations, cracks, etc. If the frame is found to be deformed, it should be corrected or repaired in time. When correcting the frame, professional equipment and tools should be used and the correct method should be followed to ensure that the frame is restored to its original geometry and dimensional accuracy.
Adjust tire pressure: For steel wheel rollers equipped with tires, check the tire pressure regularly and ensure that the tire pressure is consistent. The tire pressure should be adjusted according to the model of the roller and the requirements in the instruction manual. When adjusting the air pressure, use an accurate air pressure gauge and measure and adjust when the tire is cooled.
Operation specification
1. Maintain a stable driving speed
Choose a suitable speed: Choose a suitable driving speed according to the characteristics of the pavement material and compaction requirements. Generally speaking, for clay soil, the driving speed can be controlled at 2-4 km/h; for sand, the driving speed can be appropriately increased to 4-6 km/h; for asphalt mixture, the driving speed should be controlled at 3-5 km/h. When choosing the driving speed, the model of the roller, the size of the steel wheel, the vibration parameters and other factors should be considered comprehensively.
Keep the speed uniform: During the compaction process, try to keep the driving speed of the roller uniform and avoid speed fluctuations. You can maintain a stable driving speed by using a cruise control device or manually controlling the throttle. At the same time, pay attention to observe the driving status of the roller and adjust the speed in time to meet the compaction requirements of different sections of the road.
2. Optimize steering operation
Smooth steering: When steering, turn the steering wheel slowly to avoid abrupt steering or large steering. This can reduce the speed difference between the inside and outside of the steel wheel and make the compaction more uniform. At the same time, pay attention to controlling the steering angle to avoid too large or too small an angle.
Reasonable planning of steering paths: When performing large-scale compaction operations, the steering path of the roller should be planned in advance to minimize unnecessary steering operations. Straight-line driving, circular driving and other methods can be used to make the driving trajectory of the roller more regular, thereby improving the compaction uniformity.
3. Ensure uniform compaction times
Develop a compaction plan: Before construction, a detailed compaction plan should be developed based on factors such as the type, thickness, and compaction requirements of the pavement material, and parameters such as the number of compaction times, compaction sequence, and compaction speed should be specified. During the compaction process, operations must be strictly carried out in accordance with the compaction plan to ensure the effect and quality of each compaction.
Keep good compaction records: Arrange a dedicated person to record the number of compaction times and compaction areas to ensure that each area can be fully compacted. The number of compaction times can be accurately recorded by marking the road surface and using electronic recording equipment. At the same time, the compaction records should be checked and verified regularly to identify problems and make adjustments in a timely manner.
Material and environmental management
1. Control the quality of pavement materials
Optimize the material ratio: In the design and production process of pavement materials, the material ratio should be optimized according to the engineering requirements and actual use. Ensure that the aggregate gradation is reasonable and the particle size is uniform. At the same time, control the amount of cement, asphalt and other binders to improve the uniformity and stability of pavement materials.
Strengthen material testing: Before the materials enter the site, they must be strictly tested, including particle analysis, moisture content determination, compaction test, etc. Only qualified materials can be used for pavement construction. During the construction process, the pavement materials should also be regularly sampled to promptly detect changes in material quality and take corresponding measures to adjust them.
2. Consider environmental factors
Control the construction temperature: In a high temperature environment, the number of watering of the steel wheel can be appropriately increased to reduce the pavement temperature and prevent excessive softening of the pavement material; in a low temperature environment, the pavement material can be preheated to increase its temperature and reduce the brittleness of the material. At the same time, the pressure and vibration parameters of the steel wheel can be adjusted to meet the compaction requirements under low temperature conditions.
Control the construction humidity: In a humid environment, drain water in time to ensure that the road surface is dry; in a dry environment, water can be sprinkled appropriately to increase the moisture content of the road surface material and improve the compaction effect. At the same time, pay attention to avoid compaction work on rainy days or in high humidity weather to avoid affecting the road surface quality.
