1. Control load and speed: During the break-in period, the workload should be controlled within 80% of the rated value. Avoid full load or overload operation to prevent accelerated wear of newly assembled parts due to excessive impact. At the same time, it is recommended to reduce the travel and vibration operation speed by about 30%, operate smoothly, and avoid sudden acceleration, sharp turns, or emergency braking to reduce thermal shock to the transmission and hydraulic systems.
2. Running time of no less than 100 hours: It is generally recommended that the break-in period last for 100 hours. For heavy-duty or high-load models, this can be extended to 150 hours. After the break-in period, a comprehensive inspection and maintenance must be carried out, including changing the lubricating oil, cleaning the filter, tightening key bolts, etc., to ensure that all systems enter a stable operating state.
3. Strengthen Lubrication and Oil Management: After every 8 hours of operation, apply grease to critical components such as articulated pins and vibratory roller bearings; sample and test hydraulic oil quality every 100 hours, observing for emulsification and blackening, and send samples for contamination and viscosity testing if necessary; clean or replace the air filter every 50 hours to prevent dust from entering the engine and causing abnormal cylinder wear.
4. Use High-Quality, Low-Viscosity Lubricating Oil: During the initial break-in period, it is recommended to use low-viscosity, high-cleaning lubricating oil, which helps flush away metal debris and quickly form a protective oil film. After the break-in period, switch to normal operating oil.
5. Establish Independent Health Records: It is recommended to establish a dedicated maintenance record for the overhauled road roller, recording information such as the repair unit, replacement parts list, first oil change date, daily operating hours, and any abnormal phenomena, achieving full-cycle traceability management and facilitating subsequent maintenance decisions and value assessments.
