How to operate the Tamping Rammer correctly to reduce fatigue?

Jul 25, 2025

1. Correct operating posture
Steady grip: Hold the handle tightly with both hands, bend your arms slightly naturally, and lean your body slightly backward to resist the forward force of the ramming machine.
Natural guidance: Relying on the ramming machine to jump forward, the operator mainly controls the direction and prevents excessive deviation, and avoids forced pushing and pulling (easy to fatigue and easy to lose control).
Uniform force: Keep the ramming machine naturally jump and fall, and avoid pressing down hard (increase the load and the effect is not good).
2. Reasonable work arrangement
Working time control: Ensure that the operator does not work continuously for more than 4 hours to avoid fatigue caused by long-term continuous operation.
Rest arrangement: Add rest points during high temperature periods, equipped with cooling oil, mineral water and other anti-heat materials.
3. Equipment selection and maintenance
Choose the right equipment: Choose the right Tamping Rammer according to the construction needs to avoid inconvenience caused by too large or too small equipment.
Regularly maintain equipment: Ensure that the equipment is in good working condition to avoid operating difficulties caused by equipment failure.
4. Optimize the working environment
Evaluate the surrounding environment: ensure that the working area is flat and free of obstacles to reduce interference during operation.
Set up a cordon: Set up a cordon around the working area to prevent irrelevant personnel from entering and reduce the psychological burden of operators.
5. Personnel training
Professional training: Operators must undergo professional training and be familiar with equipment performance, operating methods and safety regulations.
Safety awareness: Improve the safety awareness of operators so that they can correctly respond to various emergencies and reduce fatigue caused by tension or panic.
6. Use auxiliary tools
Insulated gloves and non-slip shoes: Operators must wear insulating gloves and non-slip labor shoes to reduce fatigue in their hands and feet.
Protective glasses and earplugs: In a noisy environment, wear protective glasses and earplugs to reduce noise damage to hearing and relieve psychological pressure.
