1. Start and stop
Start first and then vibrate: When operating, Road Roller should start first and then vibrate, and the internal combustion engine should be set to medium speed first, and then adjusted to high speed.
Stop vibration first when stopping: When stopping, the vibration should be stopped first, then the reversing mechanism should be placed in the middle position, the transmission should be placed in neutral, and finally the handbrake lever should be pulled up.
2. Operation specifications
Vibration on solid ground is prohibited: Road Roller is strictly prohibited from vibrating on solid ground.
Stop vibration when changing direction: When changing the forward and backward direction of Road Roller, it should be done after the roller stops, and the reversing clutch should not be used for braking.
Uphill and downhill operation: When going uphill and downhill, fast gear shall not be used, and neutral gear shall not be glided when going downhill. When making sharp turns, including when the articulated vibrating Road Roller is rolling around in small turns, it is strictly prohibited to use fast gear.
Vibration engagement is prohibited when driving at high speed: Road Roller shall not be engaged when driving at high speed.
3. Rolling operation
Rolling of newly built roads: When rolling on newly built roads, rolling should be done from the middle to the outside, and the distance from the edge of the roadbed should not be less than 0.5m.
Rolling soft roadbed: When rolling soft roadbed, rolling should be done 1 to 2 times without vibration, and then rolling with vibration.
Keep the vibration frequency consistent: When rolling, the vibration frequency should be consistent. For vibrating Road Rollers with adjustable vibration frequency, the vibration frequency should be adjusted before operation, and the vibration frequency should not be adjusted without vibration.
4. Handling of special situations
Control of soil moisture content: When the moisture content of the soil exceeds 30%, rolling is not allowed. When the moisture content is less than 5%, watering should be appropriate.
Slope control of the working area: The longitudinal slope of the working area should not exceed the maximum climbing capacity of the Road Roller, and the transverse slope should not be greater than 20º.
5. Safety precautions
It is forbidden to turn on the vibration mode below the slope: When the vibration mode is turned on below the slope, the Road Roller may lose stability, resulting in dangerous situations such as rollover.
Speed control in vibration mode: The driving speed of the Road Roller in vibration mode should be controlled within 6km/h.
Distance control in vibration mode: In vibration mode, the Road Roller is at least 1.5 meters away from the edge of the ditch or cliff, and warning posts are set up if necessary.
