1. Starting and Vibration Control
Correct Operating Procedure: Start the machine before starting the vibration. For internal combustion engines, initially set to medium speed, then adjust to high speed. Vibration must be started and stopped while the roller is moving.
Stable Vibration Frequency: Maintain a consistent vibration frequency during compaction. For adjustable vibratory rollers, adjust the vibration frequency before operation; do not adjust the frequency without starting the vibration.
2. Special Ground Operation
Operation on Hard Ground: Vibration is strictly prohibited on hard ground. When compacting soft subgrades, compact 1-2 times without vibration before vibrating.
3. Slopes and Multi-Machine Operation
Operational Procedures on Slopes: Do not use high gear when going up or down slopes. High gear is strictly prohibited when making sharp turns, including with articulated vibratory rollers, and when compacting in small circles. Vibration must not be engaged while the roller is traveling at high speed.
Multi-machine operating spacing: When two or more road rollers are compacting simultaneously, the distance between them must not be less than 3.0m. When traveling in a line on a slope, the distance must not be less than 20.0m.
4. Safety Precautions
Shutting down operation: When stopping the machine, first stop the vibration, then place the reversing mechanism in the neutral position, put the transmission in neutral, and finally engage the handbrake lever. Let the internal combustion engine idle for several minutes before turning it off.
Reversing and braking: Adjustments to the reversing clutch, vibration starter clutch, and brakes should be made after the main clutch has disengaged.
