1. Before operation
Qualification and status check: Operators must undergo professional training and obtain a special equipment operation certificate. It is prohibited to operate while tired or drunk. If the continuous operation exceeds 4 hours, they should take turns to rest. Standardize the dress, wear reflective vests and non-slip labor shoes, and do not wear loose clothing.
Equipment status check: Check whether the fuel, hydraulic oil, and coolant are leaking, confirm that the steel wheel/tire has no cracks, and the vibration system is normal.
Environmental assessment: Clear the debris on the working surface, check the slope gradient, and take anti-skid measures if it exceeds the limit.
2. Start and drive
Before starting, sound the horn: remind people around to stay away.
Slope operation: It is prohibited to slide in neutral when going downhill, and low-speed gear braking is required. When operating on a horizontal slope, the center of gravity is always facing the top of the slope.
Driving speed: ≤6km/h in vibration mode, ≤10km/h in non-vibration mode, slow down to 2-3km/h when turning to prevent rollover.
3. Rolling operation
Edge compaction: at least 1.5 meters away from the edge of the ditch and cliff, set up warning piles if necessary.
Overlap rolling: The overlapping width of the steel wheel is ≥20cm to avoid leakage.
Vibration mode: confirm that no one is approaching before starting the vibration, and start and stop the vibration when stationary.
4. Compacting special materials
Asphalt operation: high temperature burn protection to prevent steel wheel sticking.
Clay compaction: beware of the "spring soil" phenomenon.
5. Personnel coordination
Command and cooperation: a dedicated person directs the reversing, uses standard gestures, and prohibits personnel from walking within the rolling range.
Multi-machine operation: the distance between adjacent Road Rollers is ≥3 meters to avoid collision.
6. Emergency
Sudden failure: immediately turn off the vibration system, turn off the engine for inspection, and do not plug the leak directly with your hands when the hydraulic pipeline bursts.
Instability hazard: if tilting occurs, quickly turn in the opposite direction of the tilt.
7. Stopping
Parking requirements: choose a flat ground, put down the safety bracket, and add wedges to the wheels when parking on a slope.
Cleaning and maintenance: Use special tools to remove the adhesion of the steel wheel.
8. Bad weather
Rainy/foggy: Stop asphalt compaction, turn on the warning light, and stop working when visibility is less than 50 meters.
Hot weather: Refill drinking water every 2 hours.
9. Long-term maintenance
Daily inspection: Check the effectiveness of the brake system, steering system, and lighting.
Regular maintenance: Replace the hydraulic oil filter every 250 hours and check the vibration bearing every 500 hours.
