What is the appropriate rolling speed for Single Drum Vibratory Rollers?

Jun 21, 2024

Soil type: Different types of soil have different physical properties, and the appropriate rolling speed needs to be selected. For example, clay soil requires a lower rolling speed to avoid over-compaction and soil liquefaction; sandy soil can choose a higher rolling speed.
Compaction thickness: When the compaction thickness is large, a lower rolling speed needs to be selected to ensure that the compaction energy can be transferred to the deep soil; when the compaction thickness is small, a higher rolling speed can be selected.
Material gradation: The gradation of the material will also affect the choice of rolling speed. Materials with good gradation can choose a higher rolling speed; materials with poor gradation require a lower rolling speed.
Construction requirements: Depending on the different construction requirements, such as compaction, flatness, etc., the rolling speed also needs to be adjusted. For example, for projects requiring a higher degree of compaction, a lower rolling speed needs to be selected; for projects requiring a higher degree of flatness, a higher rolling speed needs to be selected.
