How to determine if a road roller needs maintenance?

Dec 10, 2025

1. Oil Level Check

Engine Oil: When cold (oil temperature <25℃), the oil level should be close to the lower limit on the dipstick; when hot (70-80℃), it should be close to the upper limit. Add oil if below the lower limit.

Hydraulic Oil: Check by observing the gauge screw or dipstick. Add oil to the standard line if insufficient.

Transmission Fluid: Check after engaging all gears. The fluid level should be between the marked lines. Replace if cloudy or containing metal shavings.

2. Connection Loosening Check
Check if the linkage/cable between the control lever and the manual valve rocker arm is loose and re-secure it.

Check if the pressure regulating spring of the transmission pump and shift control valve is worn or lacks lubrication.

3. Electrical System Verification
After starting, check that there are no alarms on the instrument panel and that the lights and signals are normal.

Verify that the vehicle speed sensor and shift solenoid valve are working.

4. Other Key Items

Vibration Switch: Confirm that it is in the off position to avoid accidental operation.

Road test: Test acceleration, shifting, and braking performance to ensure there are no abnormal vibrations or noises.
