I. Compactor Roller (Vibratory Roller) Problems
This is a high-frequency, high-incidence area for failures. Common problems include: damage to the coupling connecting the vibratory motor and the eccentric device, such as a broken splined shaft or worn nylon sleeve; poor lubrication or mismatched specifications of the vibratory bearings, leading to vibration failure and abnormal bearing wear; damage to the amplitude adjustment device, causing impact noises and abnormal amplitude deviations during operation, directly affecting the compaction effect.
II. Engine Failures
As the core power source, common problems include: excessive smoke during operation, often related to poor fuel quality or prolonged overload operation of the equipment; weak power output, often caused by blockage of the oil/air intake passages; abnormally high water and oil temperatures, often due to insufficient oil level in the crankcase, which can directly damage core engine components in severe cases.
III. Hydraulic System Problems
Common failures include: insufficient hydraulic oil supply pressure and flow, leading to insufficient vibration motor speed or even shutdown; aging seals and loose oil pipe joints causing leaks; cooling system failures leading to excessively high oil temperatures and accelerated oil deterioration; and long-term wear of the hydraulic pump and motor, resulting in a significant decrease in the overall power transmission efficiency.
IV. Other System Issues
The electrical system is prone to problems such as poor contact in the vibration switch, damaged relays, and blown fuses, directly causing the vibration wheel to fail to start; the clutch is prone to incomplete disengagement, overheating, and insufficient engagement force; the rear axle, drive shaft, and gearbox are prone to wobbling, abnormal noises, and oil leaks; the steering system may experience steering jerking and an abnormally high number of turns.
