1. Preparation before operation
1. Ensure the safety of the working area
Choose a flat, solid, and open site for maintenance operations, away from dangerous areas such as busy traffic areas, slopes, and soft ground.
Set up obvious warning signs around the work area to prevent others from entering by mistake.
2. Wear personal protective equipment
Operators should wear personal protective equipment such as safety helmets, safety shoes, gloves, and goggles to protect themselves from potential injuries.
3. Familiar with the equipment and maintenance process
Before performing major maintenance, carefully read the operation manual and maintenance manual of the road roller to understand the structure, performance, and maintenance requirements of the equipment.
Be familiar with the maintenance process and operation methods to ensure that all maintenance work is performed correctly.
2. Equipment shutdown and power off
1. Shutdown
Before performing major maintenance, the road roller must be shut down and the joystick must be placed in the neutral position to ensure that the equipment is in a safe state.
Wait for the equipment to stop completely before proceeding to the next step.
2. Power off
Turn off the engine of the road roller and cut off the power supply to prevent accidental startup.
When performing electrical system maintenance, ensure that the power supply has been completely cut off and take necessary grounding measures to prevent electric shock accidents.
3. Hydraulic system safety
1. Release pressure
Before maintaining the hydraulic system, the pressure of the hydraulic system must be released first. The pressure can be released by operating the hydraulic system's pressure relief valve or opening the joints of the hydraulic pipeline.
When releasing the pressure, care should be taken to prevent high-pressure oil from spraying and injuring people.
2. Prevent leakage
When disassembling hydraulic pipelines and joints, appropriate tools should be used, and ensure that the joints are well sealed to prevent hydraulic oil leakage.
If hydraulic oil leakage is found, the leaked oil should be cleaned up in time and the leak point should be repaired.
4. Mechanical component safety
1. Fixing equipment
When maintaining the mechanical parts of the roller, such as disassembling rollers, drive shafts, etc., the equipment should be fixed with appropriate lifting equipment or support tools to prevent the equipment from collapsing or slipping and injuring people.
When working at heights, protective equipment such as safety belts and safety ropes should be used to ensure the safety of operators.
2. Prevent parts from popping out
When removing springs, bolts and other parts, care should be taken to prevent parts from popping out and injuring people. Appropriate tools and methods can be used, such as using a wrench to fix bolts and using spring compression tools, to ensure safety.
5. Fire and explosion prevention
1. Stay away from fire sources
When performing major maintenance, stay away from fire sources and flammable materials to prevent fire and explosion accidents.
Do not smoke or use open flames at the maintenance site.
2. Prevent static electricity
When maintaining the fuel system, care should be taken to prevent static electricity. Anti-static tools and equipment can be used, and ensure that the operator is well grounded.
6. Post-completion inspection
1. Check the equipment
After completing the major maintenance, the roller should be fully inspected to ensure that all parts are installed correctly and firmly and the equipment performs normally.
Check whether the electrical system, hydraulic system, mechanical system, etc. are leaking, loose, damaged, etc.
2. Trial run
Before the trial run, check again whether the various safety devices of the equipment are working properly, such as the brake system, steering system, lights, etc.
When conducting a trial run, start the equipment slowly, observe the equipment's operating conditions, and ensure that there are no abnormalities before performing normal operations.
