As a common road compaction equipment, road roller is now widely used in various construction industries and urban construction. But in the process of actual operation, we should always pay attention to avoid accidents. So what should we do when driving a roller? Next we will introduce to you.
(1) The roller drives on a slope. Only drive up and down the slope, and check the slope allowed in the operation manual; The roller is equipped with hydrostatic driving device. The working mode shall be adopted on the slope instead of the driving mode. Do not shift gears on the slope.
(2) The roller drives on uneven roads. Avoid driving at road edges, ditches and similar places. Wet roads and damaged roads will affect the ability of the roller to overcome the load; Pay attention to possible obstacles above the roller, such as low altitude suspended cables, branches and other obstacles; It is recommended to use the rollover protection mechanism and fasten the safety belt; When compacting the pavement near the roadside cargo pit, ensure that at least 2/3 of the steel wheels drive on the previously compacted pavement.
(3) The roller runs on public roads. Always observe the traffic rules, that is, turn on the driving headlights and turn signals, and mark slow-moving vehicles at the rear of the vehicle; Never exceed the speed allowed by the traffic rules, and pay attention to the contact after braking; If the obstacle is very close, causing the roller to be surrounded, it should be crushed and passed through the obstacle instead of stopping at the same place.
